Headlines: Cyber Defence Summit 2012 concludes
It was a two day summit to formulate common law on cyber security in which Roger Cressey, senior vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton mentioned that there is a need for a universal cyber security rules.

Experts agrees that leakage of personal data through means of social media websites and emails is one of the main threats to cyber security.

Cyber Defence Summit is to gather key regional stakeholders in Muscat, Oman to discuss and explore the heightened importance of cyber security in the region. Main purpose to protect the virtual boundaries of the Middle East. This summit is endorsed by the Information Technology Authority Oman, ITU-IMPACT and Oman National CERT.

The main focus of this summit was to get an outcome on overcoming emerging cyber challenges faced by the public and private sectors in the Middle Eat, to be exposed on the economic repercussions to the country of not protecting critical infrastructures as well as to educate the stakeholders on the latest technology innovations.
