Other protective measures may include;
i. All accounts should have passwords and the passwords should be unusual, difficult to guess. Use passwords that cannot be found in the dictionary. The best is to create password is to use a combination of letters, numbers, and special keys such as the dollar sign ($) and the asterisk (*).
ii. Changing the network configuration when defects are known.
iii. Checking with venders for upgrades and patches as regularly as possible so that the security of your system will still be placed intact.

v. If you are ever unsure about the safety of a site, or receive suspicious email from an unknown address, don't access it. vi. Do not use unnecessary application and services – Scan all applications that you have and are still active and disable those application that are not really useful or necessary for you. That way, you can stop malicious users who will try to get into your systems via entry points you never expect to be.
